linked2pay Garners Gold Medal for Top ACH Innovation at Payment Industry’s Best Awards

OXNARD, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) March 31, 2014

transmodus, the payments technology company that powers linked2pay, announced today that it has won the 2014 Gold Medal for Best Innovation Via Automated Clearing House (ACH). Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA, which serves the settlement needs of over 11,000 financial institutions, presented the award to Richard McShirley, CMO of transmodus. The evening ceremony for the PYMNTS Innovator Awards took place on March 20 at the campus of Harvard University, in Cambridge, MA.

This prestigious award recognizes transformative innovation and serves to validate the Oxnard, California based company’s development vision. In 2002, transmodus began building the platform and in 2011 launched linked2pay, a bundled payments processing product that provides quick and secure ACH payments that are as easy to transact as credit card payments and can provide considerable cost savings along the way.

The main innovation is that linked2pay payment features enable someone to pay online or by mobile phone using credit card or ACH with equal ease. Further, the business using linked2pay now has access to easily deploy five ways to accept customer payments: mobile, online forms, email, a virtual terminal, and a shopping cart checkout. Other Gold Medal winners in the 15 award categories at Innovation Project 2014 were LevelUp, PayPal, Apple, Square, and Google.

Some of the verticals that can benefit from using linked2pay include healthcare, education (all levels), water districts, law firms, insurance companies, and farmers’ markets.

linked2pay provides for the secured, cloud delivery of bundled payment solutions that combine feature-rich and configurable mobile, online form, email, checkout, and virtual terminal acceptance of credit card and ACH payments. Merchants also gain the convenience and efficiency of consolidated reporting that can be easily customized and integrated.

“The entire 2014 Innovation Project competition was well executed and enabled the exchange of ideas in a manner that will support and foster further innovation,” said McShirley. “With linked2pay, our team set out to deliver seamless options for accepting payments by credit card and ACH and this award proves we are making measurable progress in achieving that goal.”

transmodus partners with leading payments processors, sales channels, developers, and banks to provide linked2pay to merchants in a wide variety of vertical markets.
